A Humble Abode...

It's Andy again. We spent many hours looking for the just the right apartment that had everything we wanted! After 4 days of strenuous hunting and searching, we finally found it! It's a quaint little 2 bed/2 bath apartment with pretty much everything we wanted. Good sized living and dining rooms, big enough master bedroom and guest bedrooms, and it even comes with a built-in desk and office space! I'm moving in on December 1st, and will live in the guest room until Anna and I get married. Then we'll both move in to the master together!

So yeah! That's going to be our little apartment for at least the first year of our marriage! :)

We're Engaged!!!

So... as of October 20, 2009, we are engaged to be married! Here's how it all happened...

I picked Anna up after work on Tuesday the 20th to take her out to a nice dinner for our 8 month celebration. I had told her that she needed to make sure to wear something nice but that I couldn't tell her where we were going. Hold on, rewind just a bit... about two weeks before the date I went and purchased the nicest diamond ring I'd ever laid eyes on. The minute I saw it, I knew it was the EXACT ring that I wanted to put on Anna's finger. Then, on Saturday the 17th, I had breakfast with Anna's father while Anna was on a retreat with her small group. He's such a great man of God and I'm really looking forward to being his son-in-law!

So, I made reservations at our favorite restaurant in town and they gave me a private little section for us to have privacy and not be around anyone else. I was so nervous. They had put flowers on the table for us and it really was a magical moment...I won't go into further detail, but I DID get down on one knee and asked Anna to be my wife. Now this is pretty funny. The first thing out of Anna's mouth was, "Is this really happening?" To that I said, "Well, yes it is. But could you please just say yes or no?" HAHA!!!! So she said, "YES!!! TIMES A BILLION!!!!!" We both laughed out loud and just like that, we were engaged!

I'm so excited to have Anna as my wife. She's everything I could have ever wanted in a wife and I know that we're going to enjoy a happy life together!
